Shrai Popat is a multimedia journalist based in Washington DC. He is currently a US politics reporter at The Guardian. He is a graduate of Columbia Journalism School and King’s College London, where he studied English and Comparative Literature.
Prior to joining The Guardian, Shrai was a White House reporter/producer at PBS News. Previously, he covered national politics for VICE News and BBC News, where he made documentaries and long-form features.
